"The Grape Escape" has one feature that certainly adds to the gameplaying experience. If you press the select button while pressing the back button, your character will appear to slide across the floor in a Michael Jackson "moonwalking" state. This allows you to shoot at your enemies while running away. At lostlevels.org the programming author of CR's, Robert Morgan, explains how this feature came about by default really:

Once you master the art of pressing the "back" and "select" buttons with one hand, this tactic will definitely come in handy in the late stages of the game (especially on difficult mode).
